A Single Cross at Alone

2006-05-23 - Alone, Metcalfe CO, KY - Photo Staff. A SINGLE CROSS marks the place where the car involved in the deaths of two men, one from Columbia, KY, the other from Edmonton, KY, was retrieved. A steep, overgrown roadside hid the accident from investigators for two days. The location is in the Alone Community, three miles north of Edmonton, on KY 1243, the road from Edmonton to Knob Lick. It is just north and down the hill from the Alone Cemetery. Though there is danger (from traffic) in visiting the site, as many as a dozen people at a time have been frequenting the location.
