PhotoAd: Campaign views from Joyce Reliford, candidate for Judge Executive

2006-03-16 - Columbia - Photo Elaine Bennett. I AM JOYCE RELIFORD, YOUR REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR COUNTY JUDGE EXECUTIVE. Visiting our factories reminds me that we need more jobs to offer our citizens who have to drive out of Adair County to go to work. Part of my motivation for running for Judge Executive is to make sure our county is first in recruitment of new industry, and first in getting all the help we can for existing industry to grow. As a voice for the people, I will strive to represent all citizens by keeping an open door, an open ear, an open mind, and most important, the willingness to take actions outside the tired boundaries of "business as usual" for a select few. My humble thanks for your time and vote in the May 16, 2006 Republican Primary. For more of my ideas for Adair County, click here. s/Your voice, Joyce. LETTER: Tom Fisher says Adair losing fortune to insurance companies

Tom Fisher lays out strong challenge to candidates to save money for property owners by having mandatory, county-collected fire dues to stanch the flow of big dollars to fire insurance companies by paying many fewer dollars to fire departments
Why does Adair County ship $1.8M of jobs to New York City?

Why does Adair County ship $1.8M of jobs to "New York City"? Would it be better for Adair County to create these jobs in our county, or is it easier for the county leaders to do nothing?

$1.8M of jobs equals 36-$50,000 per year jobs. Maybe one of the economists at LWC can explain the economic impact of this number of jobs on our economy.
