Emily Griffitt Anderson dies at age 49 Emily Griffitt Anderson of Sawmills School Road in Granite Falls, North Carolina, died unexpectedly at age 49. Funeral services for the Adair County native are scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at her church, Dry Ponds Baptist, 5235 Union Church Road, Granite Falls, NC. The family will receive friends there from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

Emily Griffitt Anderson found dead; her killer is being hunted in NC By Linda Waggener linda@columbiaMagazine.com Ten days after her dissapearance, Emily Anderson's family in Columbia has now received word of her death along with the beginning details of where and how her body was discovered. The Caldwell County NC Sheriff's release was obtained by KSP Columbia Post's Steve Wheeler and appears at the end of this story. News reports were shared last week that the former Adair Countian who had been a popular resident of the Cane Valley community was missing.
