Volleyball: LWC releases 2024 Schedule

Under the direction of first-year head coach Jacob Hepp, the Lindsey Wilson volleyball program has unveiled schedule for the 2024 season. This year's slate features four invitationals across four different states, three new opponents, and eight matchups against NAIA national tournament qualifiers from a season ago.

The Blue Raiders open the regular season 800 miles from home on August 23 and 24, 2024, in Bellevue, Nebraska for the Go Sarpy.com Classic. While in the Cornhusker State, Lindsey Wilson will face hosts Bellevue, 2022 NAIA National Champions Jamestown (ND), and first-time opponents Avila (MO) and Saint Mary (KS).

Four days later marks the Blue Raiders' home opener as Brescia (KY) comes to Columbia for a mid-week, in-state battle on August 28, 2024.

Kentucky and South Korea sign driver's license agreement

From Crystal Staley/Naitore Djigbenou

Seoul, South Korea - Gov. Andy Beshear, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Jim Gray and South Korea's National Police Agency Commissioner General Hee-keun Yoon attended a signing ceremony on July 15, 2024, in the South Korea's capital city, Seoul, to formalize a driver's license reciprocity agreement between the two governments that aims to support job growth.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between South Korea's National Police Agency (NPA) and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Driver Licensing will help boost economic growth by simplifying the process of maintaining a non-commercial driver's license for Koreans living in Kentucky and Kentuckians residing in Korea. Seven Korean-owned facilities currently operate in the commonwealth, with six others announced during this administration, which will push employment by Korean operations to 6,700 people statewide.

"With more Korean companies investing in Kentucky's booming economy, this landmark agreement will allow their residents to quickly feel part of their new Kentucky home by ensuring they can maintain transportation access to jobs and take in all Kentucky has to offer," said Gov. Beshear.
