Why so many Eagles in Adair County in 2024 Larry Baker called to say that he spotted yet another Bald Eagle in Adair County this morning - that's the second one this year and it's only February. He's averaging one a month. While driving on Holmes Bend Road, he saw what he thought was a Vulture so he speeded up to make it fly away. When the bird flew, he realized he had just run off an Eagle and he said he asked himself, "Why are there so many eagles all of a sudden in this area?" FRANKFORT - Kentucky Proud's Community Supported Agriculture Week (CSA) is set for March 4-8, Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell has announced. "CSAs are an excellent way to support Kentucky's farm families by bringing in a bounty of local farm products from all throughout the commonwealth directly into homes." Commissioner Shell said. "I appreciate all our partners who helped organize this year's Kentucky Proud CSA Week." CPD receives painting of Mayberry Sheriff Squad Car By Detective Sgt. Evan Burton Local artist Dick Scholl gave me a painting of the Mayberry Sheriff Squad Car and I thought it would be a great addition for the Columbia Police Department. Thank you again, Mr. Scholl! It hangs beneath an autographed picture of Don Knotts, aka "Barney Fife". The Andy Griffith Show aired in 1960 through 1968. There were 249 half hour episodes with 159 episodes filmed in "black and white" which were my favorites. The Show has real life and leadership lessons in each episode that we can still use in this day and age.
