Video: Cat on Ladder

Breaking news - may we have a little cat-up-a-ladder-dilemma drumroll, please? No need to call "The Cat Rescuers" to get this cat off the roof. She came down the same way she went up!

Meet "The Rainbow Cat", so named by William and Betty Sue Feese' 6-year-old granddaughter, Olivia.

The cat has lived with the Feese family her whole life, about four years. Among several other cats, none have been on the roof nor tried the ladder.

Right now, William reports, the only reason the ladder is left in that spot is for “The Rainbow Cat”.

Looking southeast toward Fairplay

2020-09-01 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch.
Vicky writes, "I’m on the highest point at the Hunter Place farm looking southeast toward Fairplay. Just finished mowing off the last bit of burrs that had cropped up. Can’t have those sticky things in the girls tails. This plat of land was given to my grandfather Josiah Hunter in the mid 1850s by the Governor of Kentucky in the form of a land grant of 330 acres then. Now only 60 acres."

KSP: 3-week campaign will target aggressive drivers

By Sergeant Jason Morris

Frankfort, KY - The KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) Division announced the start of a three-week statewide enforcement blitz targeting aggressive driving behaviors. The Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) Campaign targets drivers (both passenger car and commercial vehicle) who exhibit dangerous driving behaviors. These include improper lanes changes, following too closely, not leaving enough space to pass and excessive speed.

Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division Director Major Nathan Day offered tips to drivers of both passenger cars and commercial trucks.

"At the end of the day, all of us want to make it home safely to our families," says Day. "Sometimes it's as simple as being willing to be the driver who does the 'right thing' when others are displaying the wrong behavior."

Day says the best defense against an aggressive driver is a seat belt and plenty of patience. "You can't control what other drivers are doing but you can safeguard yourself and your passengers by always buckling up," adds Day. "Be a courteous driver and don't fall into the category of an aggressive driver."
