Recycle your Christmas tree From Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Frankfort, KY - Repurposing your used cut Christmas trees helps give Kentucky's underwater inhabitants new homes after the holiday season ends. Starting Dec. 26, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will be collecting natural Christmas trees at 39 drop-off locations across the state for its Christmas for the Fishes program. Collection will continue until mid-January. "Christmas for the Fishes gives people the opportunity to participate in our year-round conservation efforts," says Joseph Zimmerman, habitat program coordinator for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. "Instead of your tree going to a landfill, it can be recycled into something that directly helps our fish and wildlife." CPD: Wanton endangerment and DUI Arest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, just after 4pmCT, officers located a red Chevrolet pickup truck on Tutt Street after receiving complaints about the vehicle in the area. When Officers approached the vehicle after initiating a traffic stop, an open alcoholic beverage container was in plain view. There was also a 19-month-old male child in the truck with the driver. Santa letters - final wishes for Christmas 2019 Adair County Head start students shared their Christmas wishes for 2019. The last batch of their letters are below and we hope every child gets every wish: In Ms Tonya's class: Braelynn wants stickers, a baby doll, Legos and markers.
