Brooks Coomer, Adair County, KY (1923-2018) He was a Christian leader, a soldier, an outstanding teacher and school administrator, and a member of a leading Adair County, KY family. Mr. Coomer was a member of Sparksville Baptist Church, serving in a number of roles and positions. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 6097 and a retired educator in Adair County, KY, after 35 years. Campbellsville University Steel Band members came to CES to perform and teach students about music and how to play the drums. CES students were chosen from the audience to perform with the band. The event coincided with Music Week events at CES, which were April 16-20. The week also included dress-up days based on genres of music.
