Huge outpouring of love and gifts help Jeff Wooldridge family

Community, his Columbia/Adair County co-workers, and army of friends of Jeff and his family show depth of love they have engendered over the years.

If an avalanche of pure love, respect and hundreds of gifts can heal, then Jeff Wooldridge is cancer free and ready to return to life as it was before cancer symptoms appeared.

Trinity United Methodist Church was the site of the huge fundraiser given in his honor Saturday night, October 21, 2017.

Kenneth Harris, Taylor Co./Green Co., KY native (1936-2017)

He had retired after a 40 year career at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. He had professed faith in Christ and attended the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Knifley, KY. His wife, Louise Wilson Harris, survives. He was the son of the late Kermis Harris & Olia Dewitt Harris French. He leaves six direct living descendants.

Dr. Pam Stephens, Adair County School Superintendent, paid a surprise visit, for almost everyone in the hall, last night at the 55th Adair County Class reunion to 'rectify a wrong' which the school system committed over half a century ago.

Marjorie Hunt, Taylor Co., KY (1936-2017)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired retail sales clerk. Marjorie enjoyed reading, puzzle books, her flower garden, knitting , UK Basketball fan and her collection of ceramic frogs that she used as yard decorations and in her flower beds. She was the daughter of the late Omer & Flossie bohanon, and the widow of N.T. "Tommy" Hunt.

COLUMBIA, KY. - (Sat 21 Oct 2017) The Lindsey Wilson football team defeated Cumberland (TN) 44-41 on Saturday afternoon to remain a perfect 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Mid-South Conference play on the season.

Jalon Kemp set a program recorded with 20 tackles - 13 solo and seven assisted -- in the game as he also managed one sack.

I thought everyone might enjoy an early morning scene, 33% of the way through Autumn 2018, in the accompanying picture, at Homeplace on Green River this past week.

A scene like this in past years when corn was picked by the ear, would have caused us to say, "the corn's in the crib". However, nowadays with the advent of shelled corn, the correct phraseology most likely would be, "the corn's in the bin".

The Junior Sunday School Class of Bloomington Church, 55 Bloomington Church Road, Columbia, KY visited The Ole Homeplace residents Saturday, October 21,2017. The residents were treated today with books and snacks from the Junior Class. They are taught by Shirley Moss and Robin Willis.
