Ed, when I returned from Vietnam in 1968 I joined the VFW and it was in the building beside Elmer Bryant's. The best I remember he was a caretaker/watchman of the VFW property. - Joe "Townie" Hare

2017-08-05 - McKinley Lane, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener,
Christmas in July Waggener reunion guests are welcome to eat at any table, anywhere in the house, on the screened in porch, or on the patio at the home of Mitzi and Ricky Bault, but just not at this table. The round table in the bay window is in remembrance of both Mitzi's grandmothers, Waggener and McKinley, both named Audrey, and both loved to grow violets in their homes.

Day trip: north eastern Adair County, greater Little Cake area

By Ed and Linda Waggener

On one of the finest fall-like mornings so far in 2017, the direction of Pellyton was calling. An album of sights are being attached to this note.

Little gnome house is newest feature in Ruby Smith's garden

By Linda and Ed Waggener

We always wonder what a floral paradise this would be if we all did just a fraction of what Ruby Smith has done to beautify her lawn on Tutt Street in Columbia.

Her daughter, Robin, recently wrote, "I'd like to invite you to stop by my Mom's house and take a look at her beautiful yard and flowers this year. You will also be treated to a rarity in the area."
