Rollin Pyles turns 100, honored by Taylor County officials

2017-07-18 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo from the family.
Sheila Pyles Bryant shared this photo of her father, Rollin K. Pyles being presented a proclamation on his 100th birthday by Taylor County Judge Executive Eddie Rogers, left, and Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young at right. She said, "It's not often that one gets to announce an event such as this … The celebration of 100 years of life! On July 17, 1917, Rollin Keith Pyles was born in a little house on Hwy 206 [outside of Columbia]. He has lived through World Wars, The Great Depression, and seen more in his lifetime than we ever have or will. He has known poverty and abundance ... gain and loss ... success and failure. But through it all, he keeps his faith in The Almighty, and continues to be an example to us all on how to handle this thing called "life". He's definitely a pro at it!" -- SPB
