Not only are there overflows on roadways in the usual low lying areas, but fast moving water is flowing like mountain creek beds just below crests. Water was over Jamestown Street in the Dip at around 7:30pmCT, not from Town Creek, but from driveway and parking lot runoff. Fairground Street between Lindsey Wilson Street and the KY 206 Bridge over Russell Creek, had pooling, and Bull Run Road had several pooling problems which made driving tricky, with hydroplaning hazards. Richard Neal Weddle, 61, Casey County, KY (1956-2017) He owned and operated Liberty Tire and Muffler for nearly 20 years. He was also a farmer. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was the son of Hazel Weddle, who survives, and the late Edwin Eugene Weddle. He leaves eight direct living descendants. Beckham Preston (Bee) Compton, Barren Co., KY; Adair Co. native (1925-2017) He was born in the western Adair County community of Nell, KY. He was the son of the late James Robert Compton & Josie Gertrude Coomer Compton. He was the widower of Flossie Lee Veluzat Compton. He leaves three direct living descendants, and many close kin, including sister Martha Lacy of Breeding, KY, in Adair, Barren, and Metcalfe counties and elsewhere. He served in the Navy in WWII and was recognized by the KY House of Representatives and the Senate for his service to his country. He was a farmer and carpenter, raising his last crop at age 79. At age 82 he re- roofed the family home (which he built in the 1960's) by himself.
