Sleep Inn holds open house and ribbon cutting ceremony

By Linda Waggener

Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel held its open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017. It was the third such event in a huge 'Red Letter Day' for the Columbia Adair County economy.

Adair County developer Tommy Grider recognized the people who provided support along the way.

He said, "Today has been one of the most pleasurable in my lifetime for the city and county. The day started with the opening of Walmart's new Training Academy, having chosen Columbia for training their management and staff. Then to the ribbon cutting of Brown & Brown, opening their new call center, making one of the biggest impacts on our county. And now here, seeing this crowd of friends and supporters coming together in support of our Sleep Inn -- it means so much."
