Search for missing 21 month old Casey toddler successful

Kentucky State Police Post 15 Columbia, KY

COLUMBIA, KY (September 19, 2016) - 21 month old Logain Chumbley was located by volunteer search and rescue members at 8pmET, approximately 2 miles from his residence, following a search for the toddler which began at around 9amET today.

The search was conducted by personnel from KSP Post 15, canine branch, and aircraft branch is being assisted by the Casey County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and search & rescue volunteers.

He was transported to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville for treatment of minor injuries and precautionary observation.

Eighteen year old woman dies a result of head-on collision

Tragic accident occurs on Old Summersville Road in Taylor County, KY

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department responded to a fatal accident at around 10amCT/11amET, Monday, September 19, 2016, on Old Summersville Road.

Investigators tell us 18 year old Brittany Taylor, Greensburg, KY, dropped of the shoulder overcorrected, and lost controll of her 2013 Ford. Taylor crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2008 Freightliner operated by 29 yearl old Jarrett Brannen of Bowling Green, KY.

Adair County Elementary School hosted its annual Granparents' Night last Thursday, with more than 240 people attending. Students demonstrated the skills they're learning and grandparents were able to see how much the educational atmosphere has changed since their elementary school days.

Help needed to dismantle bleachers for storing

On Saturday, September 24, 2016 beginning at 8amCT, The Adair Co. Fair Association/Jaycees will be having a work day at the Adair County Fairgrounds, 413 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, to begin dismantling and storing of the bleachers. We are asking anyone in the community willing to help to join us. We need trucks, trailers, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, cutting torches, and any other tools that can be used to disassemble bleachers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. - Brandy Held

Adair Ambulance Service employee suspended

Employee is scheduled for arraignment in Adair Circuit court on October 25, 2016, facing charges totally unrelated to her service with the Adair Ambulance Service

After having the most attendance at the September 12, 2016, Adair County Primary Center's Rocket Booster Meeting, Ms. Tiffany Mitchum and Ms. Sheila Sexton's classes each enjoyed popcorn parties in their classrooms on Friday, September 16, 2016 courtesy of the ACPC Rocket Boosters.

The ACPC Boosters will be having their next regular meeting on October 4, 2016, at 5:30pmCT, at the school, Adair County Primary Center, 151 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY.

We will be having a Fall Festival Meeting on September 27, 2016, at 5:30pmCT, at at the school, Adair County Primary Center, 151 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY.

We encourage anyone who wishes to be involved with the Fall Festival or the ACPC Rocket Boosters to join us then. The classroom with the most attendance at the October 4th meeting will receive a popcorn party as well. After the last Booster meeting of the school year, the classroom with the most attendees all year long will earn a pizza party!!!

The Campbellsville Police Department, on Sunday September 18, 2016, responded to a reported shooting at 105 Howell Street within the limits of Campbellsville.

The male victim was transported to the local hospital by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
