Warning to the residents of Bull Run Road area Man in black pickup stole metal sheeting around the opening of spring on farm on Bull Run Road. By Barbara Armitage This morning Wayne was cutting grass when he noticed a man in a black truck stopped on Bull Run. The man got out of the truck and casually walked over onto our property and removed the metal sheeting from around the opening to our spring. He tossed the metal into the pickup with the rest of his load and left before Wayne could get off the mower to say anything. CAUD Boil Water Advisory for Area on/near East KY 80 A boil water advisory has been issue today, Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 9:50amCT and posted at 10:09amCT, by the Columbia/Adair County Water District (CAUD) for CAUD Consumers on Russell Springs Road, R. Grider Road, and Rutledge Road.The advisory has been issued due to main line leak. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality. The Whitehurst Diaries: The Rampage of an Elderly Horse Pebbles the Old Horse has always been a biddable horse, always coming to Jim Whitehurst's whistle. But inside her, there beats the heart of a senior delinquent: She's an escape artist, an issue the Whitehursts are now confronting, no longer indulging a farm favorite by blaming misdeeds on innocent deer. Pebbles, the old horse, remains in protective custody at this time, and for the nonce, Sharon Whitehurst reports, 'She's returned to her old docility.' (Me too, Old Horse. Me, too. Hope things don't get too interesting today. I like 'docility' as well, and would run six miles to stay out of a good controversy as I'm sure you, Pebbles, really mean to do.
