CAUD Boil Water Advisory: Longhunters area - Oct. 5, 2012

(Posted 02:40pmCT - A boil water advisory has been issued at 2:30pmCT, Friday, October 5, 2012, for customers of the Columbia/Adair Utilities District (CAUD) for customers on
Butler Street, Knox Street, Travis Street and Pittman Street.
The advisory has been issued due to a main line break. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure.Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality. Connor Anderson of Columbia is only 9 years old, but he is battling the monster known as cancer for the second time in his short life.

Connor beat non-Hodgkin lymphoma seven years ago when he was only 2. He became ill again this year, and he started his first round of chemo August 16, 2012. Connor now has a rare immune deficiency as well.

Just this week doctors decided not to give him any addition chemo treatments until he is better. Connor has been very sick this week.

Marcella Vibbert Dodson, age 61 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Monroe Co. Medical Center, in Tompkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 2pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. Roger Poynter and Bro Nathan Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, October 5 and will continue through Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the funeral home.
