Tragic crash on Knifley Road Columbia, KY takes life of driver, 18 Collision occurs late Thursday evening south of Knifley, KY. Pickup truck leaves roadway, strikes guardrail, and overturns several times. Driver, Caleb A. Capps of Edmonton, KY, was not wearing seatbelt, is ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene by Adair County Deputy Coroner David Taylor. One passenger, Jessica Mikel, 18, Louisville, KY, who was not belted and was injured, taken to Westlake Regional Hospital then flown to UK Hospital. A passenger, 17 year old Jessica Burba, Louisville, was flown from the scene to UL Hospital. Fourth passenger, 18 year old Antonio Simmons of Radcliff, KY who was belted, was not injured. The final round is scheduled for Friday morning, September 7, at Crooked Creek. The Blue Raiders sit in third place at the midway point of the two-day event. Lindsey Wilson trails leader and host Cumberlands (303) by 27 strokes and second-place Lee (Tenn.) University (313) by 17 strokes in the eight-team field.
