The little kitten is in drain between Taco Bell, McDonald's

Next earlier story on the little kitten: Little kitten trapped in storm sewer in Columbia, KY needs help

By Ed Waggener

We have more information on the little kitten trapped in the storm sewer, which is being fed by Tara Pickens. The grates for the storm sewer are on both sides of Jamestown Street near Gaston Avenue, between Taco Bell and McDonald's.

Because of the traffic noise during the day, it's difficult to hear, but Janet Shield, who works at Taco Bell, said she's heard in the last few days as she gets off work. Others, at McDonald's, have heard it as well, she said. That means that rescue workers may need to reconnoiter in the late evening to coax it out. Perhaps someone will be able to offer leadership and expertise for the rescue. - EW. 270-250-2730.
