Quilts in dumpster: Writer hopes they will be rescued Quilts, bedsprings in dumpster behind Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY By Joyce Coomer Hope this on CM tonight so someone might get these items before the garbage truck runs in the morning. Someone cared enough to skillfully piece a quilt. Someone cared enough that when the quilt was worn, they carefully lashed it to the bed springs with the pieced side down so it wouldn't get any more worn. However, someone didn't care enough to see if anyone else could use this item -- including the bed frame -- before callously throwing it away. Epicurean Kentuckian: Food is really good at Wm. T's Wm T's - Truly Elegant Dining, 275 Country Club Road, Columbia, KY. Phone 270-380-1010. Major Credit Cards Accepted. No Smoking. Hours: Sun-Mon: 11am-2pmCT; Tues-Sat.: 11am-2pmCT & 5pm-8pmCT. By Maury E Lewis Personal opinions of guest restaurant critique Bill and I went to William T's to eat lunch after church and when we got there the parking lot was almost full. We found a place and people were driving around the parking lot trying to find a place to park, but left. We thought the place would be packed out and we might have a wait, but when we got inside there were only four tables being used. The parking lot was full of golfers' cars, not eaters' cars. Is Lindsey Wilson planning on building a larger parking lot for the golfers and diners? The food was really good and they have a very large selection of food on the buffett. - Maury E Lewis 2012-08-26 16:11:06 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Food

For $25,000 a month, Klein should have been walking on water Mike Newton writes: Roger Klein may be a good administrator....we will never know here. Being a good person is no substitute for accountability. In my opinion, he probably could not have turned the hospital situation around on his own, but maybe re-directed the trend at least somewhat. Tom Chaney: Just Like a Goose Of Writers and Their Books: Just Like a Goose, a review of Robert Penn Warren's The Gods of Mount Olympus. Review first published 26 August 2007 in the Hart County Herald The next earlier Tom Chaney column :Tom Chaney No. R776 - Roast Pig and Charles Lamb By Tom Chaney Just Like a Goose A local attorney once told me about a client of his who was a repeat, serial offender. He didn't just break the law repeatedly. He kept breaking the same law over and over. Not content to earn just one charge for DUI, he would get three or four DUI's before moving on to a string of charges for fighting; then public intoxication and so on. My attorney friend said that the miscreant's brother came to his office. "I asked him, what's the matter with your brother? Can't he learn?" "Oh! You know him. He's just like a goose -- wakes up every morning to a new world!" Ralph Roy Waggener: We need each other! By Ralph "Out of Order" Waggener Personal Commentary I decided back a few months ago to write an article on intelligence. After a few weeks of thinking about this I decided that that would be impossible. Two people with the same intelligence still don't see things the same way. Alton Feese, whom I met at our 50th ACHS class reunion told me recently after I talked to him about wanting to write this, that a preacher once explained in a good way. He told him that God made all of us different; he made some who could do some things that others could not do and gave others the ability to do different things. God made no one who's can do all things and that's why we need each other. At the Westlake board meeting that I attended for the first time ever, after Larry Smith and a couple of others had asked questions, I decided to ask a question and was quickly called Out of Order and was not allowed to speak.
