Wants list of bar codes for the different countries

Lila Loy writes:
I am looking for a list of the bar codes for the different countries. Had it, but it's gone. It's hard to try and buy USA things when the boxes show packaged for _____ and all we have to go by is the name of the company and their state. We know it may come from overseas. So if you have it, please post it so we can refer to it to Buy USA. --Lila Loy
Thanks for the question, Lila Loy. Can anybody send a link? -CM

For Lewis Garrison, Westlake holds a very special place

He puts it bluntly: "If it were not for the hospital. I would not be living today." He remembers care he got before and after a heart attack. Comments on past business practices and the way forward to never let what happened happen again. And he says if it takes a tax, he's willing to pay his part to save the hospital

By Lewis Garrison

Westlake Hospital It is very sad to think of Adair County without Westlake Regional Hospital. A few years ago, I suffered a heart attack.

Not really sure what was happening at first, a family member took me to the ER here in Columbia. The ER staff took care of me and prepared me to be flown to Louisville. They were very efficient and professional. If the hospital had not been there, I may not be living today.

Kathy Hadley: We'll always take care of patients!

Kathy Hadley writes:
I spoke with Ann Melton this morning. She is concerned that citizens might take my statement wrong. Guess it was a bit emotional and harsh, so let me say: We will always take the very best care of all patients who present to our hospital, as we have forever! But, we can't do it if we are not here. Please support your community hospital, and accept my apology if you were offended. - Kathy Hadley

Cheryl Wall: Westlake is much more than just the hospital

The following is the text of Cheryl Walls prepared remarks for the Adair County Fiscal Court meeting on Tuesday, August 21, 2012:

Remarks of Cheryl Wall

I keep hearing the word "hospital" tonight during the meeting. This situation is so much more than that and goes even deeper than what most realize. If the hospital closes, the clinics will close also. Westlake owns and operates five clinics...three in Columbia, one in Russell Springs and one in Edmonton. If these clinics close, we will lose our physicians: Dr. Kiteck, Dr. Mooney, Dr. Wilson, Dr. Aaron and Dr. Bergin who are great physicians and let's not leave out we would lose our terrific APRN's. You may not be able to be seen as quick...it may be four to six weeks before you can receive treatment from a healthcare provider and you may not be able to get refills on your prescriptions as quick either.
