He grew up in the Columbia area and was the son of Ambrose Burton. Unlike Ambrose, who seemed to like to have his picture taken, my grandfather must have been terribly camera shy because we have yet to locate any picture of him here in Indiana where he migrated to in the thirties looking for work. I think he always planned to move back but died before his time.
