Low Adair voter turnout today, if absentees a predictor Election Junkies: To see how the vote went in Adair County four years ago, click to In Adair, a GOP sweep; Governor gets 67.74% of vote If the vote on the Absentee voting machine this year is any indicator, Adair County will have a very low turnout. When the machine was closed yesterday afternoon, November 7, at 4:30pmCT, only 58 had voted on the machine, Clerk Sheila Blair reported. In 2007, when Steve Beshear overwhelming beat Gov. Ernie Fletcher - who arguably had done more for Adair County than all other previous Governors combined - over 200 voted in that race alone.
