Clerk Sheila Blair's name on Congratulations Registry

By Sheila Blair

As a very proud alumnus of the Adair County Band,

I wanted to congratulate the members of the band, and also Mr. Case for making history Saturday night.

Adair County is only band in Kentucky to ever achieve this great accomplishment. I know what they have endured to reach this goal at the end of the season.

All the long hours, sweat, tears, laughter, and life long memories they will never forget.

The hard work seems to melt away from your mind when you are on the field, and hear all the cheers, and see all the wonderful Adair County fans on their feet, there is no other feeling like it in the world.

I feel very blessed to have been a part of this excellent program, and will proudly support them as they continue to set new records in the future.

GO ADAIR!!! "EYES WITH PRIDE"Sincerly,Sheila Blair --Sheila Blair

Guest Rant: Columbia's lack of parity with Glasgow

THEIR (Glasgow, KY) intersection is visible from the International Space Station. Ours are not. CM Editorial comment Since it now looks like Governor Steve Beshear is certain of re-election, readers should contact his contact people to get something done. We don't know who's official: but they include Miss Victoria Pike, Mr. Junior Stotts, Mr. Richard L. Walker, Mr. Robert W. Flowers, and numerous others. Or we may just need to contact the Governor's Office Directly. Some quick attention - and studied action - is needed here. Those who still think David Williams or Gatewood Galbraith have a chance, please contact them and let us know what they would do. - ED WAGGENER for CM

By Rickie Williams
CM Endorsed Guest Rant which also addresses Gasoline Price Inequity

In STARK constrast, there is a new intersection just this side of Glasgow where their new bybass joins the Cumberland Parkway and it is so brightly illuminated that it is probably visible from the International Space Station.
