Columbia Needs Historic Bridge

Ken Hill writes:
Ed, I think you are definitely onto something with the bridge. I do think we need to stick with the walking/bike path theme. Maybe the State will kick in 10 million, like they did for Louisville. Even in this bad economy, there seems to be an unlimited supply of money for such necessary projects. We could light the path with solar panels, and maybe the White House Crew would show up with another 529 million. A few elected officials might make an appearance and tout the entire project. After we get all the money we can ship the entire project to China so the bridge can be meticulously refurbished by child laborers at a cost of 11 cents an hour. They do really great work. When everything is done, we can name it for one of the politicians, who contributed greatly. Yes, it will still be 2055, but think of all the anticipation. -Col. Casey, KEN HILL
