Deputy finds wrecked vehicle with active meth lab, no operator Kentucky State Police notified to dispose of lab; investigation is in progress The Adair County Sheriff's Office received a tip on at approximately 3pmCT, Friday, October 14, 2011, that a someone had wrecked their vehicle somewhere on Melson Ridge. City buys street truck; awards Bomar Heights/Tutt ST gas bid By Ed Waggener The Columbia City Council awarded two bids at a brief, special called meeting at 4pmCT, Monday, October 17, 2011. Don Franklin Ford was awarded the bid to supply a 2001 F850 4 wheel drive, truck with a dump bed, 74,000 miles, and an 8.1 liter engine, at a price of $16,500. The unanimous vote to approve came on a motion by Councillor Jim Hadley, seconded Councillor Craig Dean, with Councillors Linda Waggener, Robert Flowers and Tony Grider joining them for the 5-0 vote. Councillor June Parsonwas not present. In a second vote, Walter Martin Excavating was awarded the contract for the Bomar Heights and Tutt Street gas line renovation. Parents of the precious little Dunn twins urge support for RMH After the babies were born prematurely, when Conner's vitals were catastrophic and there was no way Barry and Leslie Dunn would have been away from him, Ronald McDonald House was there for them. There for them for six nights. And with the excellent care of his doctors and the wonderful NICU, the prayers of the Dunns and of so many Adair Countians. were answered.
