Looking forward to Circle R reopening

Jimmie McGaha writes:
So glad to see that the Circle R is being reopened. We live in Indiana now but grew up in the Columbia, KY. area. We visited our parents for many years after we were married and moved here to find work. Both sets of our parents are dead now, but both are buried in Columbia cemeteries and we come to visit their graves at least two times a year and then also come to visit other living relatives.

We always enjoyed eating at the old Circle R and was glad it had been rebuilt and opened the 1st time and then was saddened to find that it had closed. So now we are excited about the fact that the next time we come to Columbia we will have the option to eat there again. Best of luck to the new owners and managers that it will be a success and stay opened. -JIMMIE and REBA BAULT McGAHA

Letter to Sergeant Dakota Meyer

Sylvia Alayon writes:
Dear Sergeant Dakota Meyer:

You have never met me, and yet, I was so moved as I watched your interview on television that I had to reach out to you. I, like many others, watched in awe as you shared your remarkable story. Despite the amount of bravery and heroism you displayed, I could sense you felt you had failed at your mission. When you were asked the question how you felt when you discovered the soldiers you were trying to rescue were dead, I whispered to myself, please do not say it was in vain, and those were your exact words. My heart sank with the mere thought of you feeling this way. So I am writing this letter to you in the hopes that I can share a message with you: people with your courage and valor never do anything in vain, despite the outcome of anything you may try to achieve.
