Carol Perkins: Back to school Back in her Metcalfe County school days, a trip to Bowling Green was like going to Nashville. Bagworms can cover and quickly kill evergreen shrubs About: Stumped by strange looking insect To ColumbiaMagazine.com Dear Ed, Tell Sharon that she definitely does not want to let this bagworm live in her herb garden or anywhere else. These creatures especially like evergreen bushes and will soon cover them and kill them. As I remember, the only solution was to pull them off by hand as soon as possible and to burn them. I don't recall exactly why we thought we needed to burn them but I think it had something to do with their ability to escape what you collected them in and get back to the bushes. -Robert Stone 2011-07-31 02:35:23 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

Thou art the potter, I am the clay, etc." I can't remember all the words, but the lyrics leave the impression that talking to the Lord through prayer is a learned experience. And, of course it is enhanced through repetition. My observation of Connie's sister was that with her prayer beads, she repeated prayers while holding each bead of her rosary. While that seemed to the uninformed to be a questionable practice, who am I to interfere in anyone's conversation with God.
