These checkpoints will be conducted in an effort to enforce the traffic laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She plans to pursue a degree in agriculture. The W.O. and Lois Newell Scholarship was established in 2010 from funds bequeathed by Mr. and Mrs. Newell to provide scholarships to deserving students attending SCC. Back is a 2011 graduate of Cumberland County High School with a 4.0 grade point average and ranked 2nd in her graduating class. While in high school, Back was a member of Future Farmers of America, Beta Club, FCCLA and the Spanish Club. She was also named to the All 'A' Honor Roll all four years of high school, and voted Most Likely to Succeed her senior year. Larry Ballard, age 61 of Marrowbone, was traveling West on KY 90 in a 1999 Ford Ranger when he swerved to miss a deer, ran off the roadway, and struck a culvert. Mr. Ballard was wearing his seatbelt, treated and released from the Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, KY. Trooper Wells was assisted at the scene by Cumberland County Sheriff Stevie Wheat, Cumberland County EMS, Marrowbone Fire Department, and Emergency Disaster Response.
