Judge Baker used some place names which aren't so familiar today

Comments below about: Cyrus/ An eyewitness account of the Skirmish of July 3rd, 1863, written by Judge Herschel Clay Baker
By Vonnie Kolbenschlag

Judge Baker's ( 1841-1934) account of what happened uses some place names that no longer exist from the time he wrote the account. Baker lived in the brick house that is still there and from which he observed the fighting. It is said the doors of the Presbyterian Church, 304 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY (MAP) were used as the "boards" on which to place the wounded.
