Thinks Haskinsville structure is Embry-Cox House About: Old House on Haskinsville Road, photo by Dr. Mike Ratliff To ColumbiaMagazine.com Here's one old house photo that appeared on CM that I've tried to identify. The photographer indicated it was taken in the Haskinsville Road area. The features of the house seem to match one that appears in "Historic Architecture of Green County" on p. 22. It's identified there as the Embry-Cox house, built in the 1840s or 1850s for Samuel P. Embry. Later owned by Taylor Cox between 1928 and 1955. In the Cox Bend area. It looks like the same house to me...but maybe someone knows for sure. -Ann Curtis 2011-05-10 02:54:12 | Comments | Printable version
