Lauds Dino's family for standing by best friend

Beverly Merritt writes:
Great news about Dino coming home. I forgot who said this...so for now, it will be anonymous:
Dogs are not our whole lives. But they make our lives whole.
My dog, O'Reilly, and his little brother, Sunny (both dogs found in a ditch in Adair County now living in Atlanta) just turned one year old. They are so precious!

God bless Dino's owners for taking a stand and standing by their "best friend." Believe me, he will do the same for them.

Jim: Glad he was not hanging around here in 1918

By "Jim"

I woulda been in a lot - nay, a passel; perhaps, even, a gob! - of trouble had I been hanging around 'Lumbia in May, 1918:
County Judge W.S. Sinclair informed the News last Thursday night that he was going to enforce the vagrant act, and that he intended to have every man, white or black, in the town of Columbia, who does not work as much as thirty-six hours in each week, brought before him, and if they could not show just cause for idleness they would be dealt with according to the law.

Judge Sinclair will be doing his duty when he takes this step and he is determined to do it.

Wendy Gousha: Happy to read story of Dino coming home

Wendy Gousha writes:
Thank you, Peg, for all you do for our four legged friends. You are so right when you say for people struggling with the idea to abandon their animals, how they feel and do not understand the circumstances their owners have put them in.

Our four legged friends do not have a voice and so it is our responsibility to speak for them and to do all when can to help them.

I was so happy to read this story of Dino coming home. His owners are blessed and have a true friend in Dino. Sincerely, -Wendy
