Painters of old photographs had special training Adair Countian's father painted portraits which had a lifelike look, with no indications of paint or brush strokes. Writer now wishes he'd talked more with his father about this aspect of his life. He did not seem to have any special artistic talent and he even said none was required, just special training. Deputy Joey Burris finds meth lab in Fairplay, KY Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story Adair County Sheriff's Deputy Joey Burris discovered a meth lab in Fairplay (MAP), KY704/Fairplay RD, in the curve just north of Spoon's Store, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 after a motorist saw a bottle on the side of road and called Adair County 911 center. Burris arrived anddiscovered two generators used to make methamphetamine. Kentucky State Police units arrived shortly after and cleaned up the meth labs. Jim and Willis at old Bennett homeplace, the Moss farm Donald Bennett writes: Ed, The old barn in the picture at Gradyville is the one on the Moss farm. I lived there in 1945 to 1952 .We, the Bennetts, moved from there in 1952. Sharon Whitehurst asked about a picture of the old house that was there when we lived there. I don't have any. I wish I did.
