Making deliveries in Florida: Simple with Streets and Numbers Editorially speaking: Why CM only publicizes events which include Street Numbers and full address: We don't want to waste your time Answering the Question: Who is better equipped to function in today's world, the person with a CDL (Commercial Drivers License, for those with a college degree) and a smart phone, or the one with a higher education MBA (Masters in Business Administration for those in graduate school) who eschews basic elements of technology? A friend called from a semi-truck load of Taylor Co., KY products. He had six deliveries to make, and all six had one thing in common: He had Street Numbers and Addresses for each stop. Anyone can only imagine the amount of time this Adair Countian was saved by having this simple, readily available information. Using Street Numbers and Addresses saves hours for individuals. That's why ColumbiaMagazine.com always extends the courtesy to our readers of only publicizing events whose promoters have the courtesy to include this information, or the events are ones where we can find Street Numbers and Addresses in fewer than 10 searches on the internet! It would be great if the publicists for the United States Government, the State of Kentucky, State Universities and Colleges, extended this courtesy. But then, the obvious is seldom evident to bureaucrats, is it? If they all had a CDL instead of or in addition to MBA, they probably would. Sometimes, common sense is better. Thanks truck drivers of Adair County, KY. -Ed Waggener 2010-12-03 07:15:27 | Comments | Printable version

Remembering Sister Dorothy: For her goodness E H Lepiarczyk writes: I have known quite a few nuns in my lifetime. Sister Dorothy McMannon was one of the holiest and best nuns I have ever known. The love of Christ shined in her being. She was as humble as Mother Teresa. Heaven is richer with Sister Dorothy's presence. The congregation of the Church of the Good Shepherd will long remember and love Sister Dorothy especially for her goodness.
