Wants to make Chicago-style hot dogs at home Related story: Greg Dawkins sees movement on his effort to get a Portillo's To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I would like to know from some of the people around here who like and eat Chicago-style hot dogs where I could purchase some of the beef dogs and the buns. Is there a website I could use to purchase the dogs and buns online? I have been reading about the Chicago-stlye hot dog and would like to try to make them locally, at my house. One thing I read says is that I couldn't get them to taste right because it is the Chicago water that makes them taste so good. Is the water there some special kind of city water? Less polluted? more polluted? I did not realize until today that they use only all-beef hot dogs. s/M.E. Obituary: Jessie Caldwell Tupman Shirley, 81, Adair Co., KY She was the matriarch of a prominent Adair County family. She was a long-time member of the Columbia Christian Church and is remembered for her many years in charge of the nursery, the Easter Breakfast, and the annual church picnic on the family farm at Bliss. She was a founding member of the Bliss Homemakers. and was Homemaker of the Year in 1969. She was a graduate of Columbia High School. Her marriage to James Edwin Shirley, who survives, spanned 62 years Jessie Caldwell Tupman Shirley, 81, of Columbia, died at home Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
