Pete Walker had advocated State Doodlebug Preserve

The Wayfaring Stranger discovered in his research of the Doodlebug, which included a thorough scan of the great technology journals of our time: Scientific American, Green River Sprite, The Grit, Salon, and Wired just how passionately Pete Walker believed in the 'Theory of the Doodlebug as a Predictor of Character when Little Boys reach Manhood' that he had written these words in The Green River Sprite:
"The government should establish a doodlebug preserve and start a restocking program for the rest of the state so future generations can have a guide as to how a youngster will turn out." Sobering wisdom. But valid, anyway.

Editor Waggener:

The Shellie Elmore photos and accompanying text concerning doodlebugs should be on the the front page of every newspaper. So great was their impact on this wayfaring stranger that I delved into the yellowed pages of yore to read for myself from the pages of The Green River Sprite the great essay about Pete Walker's Doodlebug Theory. (In these troubled times, where are the Pete Walkers of the world to show us the light? But that's a question for another day.)
