Dave Rosenbaum recalls:
Days of State Police vs. Glass Pack Mufflers

About: Discussing Light Pollution at Fiscal Court

By Dave Rosenbaum

Unintended Consequences

I had never given much thought to the issues of noise and light polution in Adair but, now that it is mentioned, I do recall that, in the 60s, the State Police were powerful offended by noise pollution produced by glass pack mufflers.

Further, I doubt that the preachers throughout the county would complain about too much Light.

I sure do hope that this thing doesn't get out of hand and some misguided citizen gets offended by the aromas from Ole Joe's BBQ pit and calls out the authorities on the old rascal. -Dave Rosenbaum
