Local photographer will have photo published by Fodors

Dave Cazalet, Jr., Director of Grants at Somerset Community College, took the photo on pilgrimage to the land of his Hugenots ancestors, Protestants who fled France rather than choose between being Catholic or being killed. Adair County has benefitted from the malevolent King Louis XIV, with the large number of quite distinguished leaders being descendants of Huguenot Martin Luther Loy, who is the (a?) grand patriarch the Loys in Adair and Russell Counties, KY -CM

Remembering Clara Graves:
She was great source for genealogy information

About: Obituary: Clara Jean Graves

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I too talked with Clara Graves last week at Walmart and my heart just sank when I heard of her passing. I always called her when I needed information on family Genealogy. I had told her at Walmart that I could always depend on her if I needed help. She was planning on coming back to the library to do more research on her family. I will miss her so much and my prayers go out to her family.

Letter: Another Vote for Creelsboro

About: The Bean pales in comparison to Creelsboro Arch

Glenna Cowan writes:
I totally agree! This area is "all that and a bag of chips." Oh, and one other fact, it is an all-day trip.
(Note): Apparently the writer assumed we all knew that she is talking about a day trip to the Creelsboro Arch. Some thought she might be talking about a day-trip to Chicago, but that's a whole other proposition.
