Help is needed with Tarter Cemetery maintenance Author found cemetery near Gradyville, KY in bad need of care on recent visit here; returned 200 miles home and back to bring back lawn mower and work on grass. Six hours of work had grounds looking great, but regular maintenance is needed. Help is requested By Arvist Rodgers We were in Columbia last week visiting family and eating that good southern food. We ate several places but Betty's OK Country Cooking was our favorite. I must say they were all delicious. We went to the Tarters Chapel cemetery as my mother, father, brother, as well as my grandparents are buried there. The cemetery hadn't been mowed for weeks. I was so distraught because we had been donating money to help with the mowing and upkeep of the cemetery. Cecil (Pete) Beard had kept it mowed. M.E. Lewis asks if we think too small about what we have to offer About: Steve Wheeler thinks Chicago greatest food town To ColumbiaMagazine.com: True, Columbia is a small town, but if you market the area and not just the town, we get larger. We sit right off of I -66 corridor and almost in the middle of it right now. We can be reached easily from Somerset, Glasgow, Campbellsville, and all the other smaller towns around this area. We travel to the other towns to eat. Why can't they travel here to eat? If we build it they will come.I think we think too small when it comes to marketing this area. s/M.E.
