FFA Reflective Address Markers would make great gifts

About: 120 Address Markers sold since kickoff

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

The holiday season is coming and I am always trying to find unique gifts and something useful. In today economy it is hard to find both but I think these markers would make a nice gift for a neighbor, maybe a house warming gift. These markers could be the difference in life in death especially in the rural parts of our county. Plus the money stays here in Adair County. Just a thought.

Robert Depp was proud of nickel cup of coffee

The 'Dump' was a successful restaurant, but Mother and Daddy meant for it to be more than a restaurant. - Nancy Kate
About: Carol Perkins: Let's talk about . . . Depp's Restaurant

By Nancy "Kate" Depp Loy

How very kind of you to remember, with fondness, Depp's Restaurant.

I grew up in the "Dump," and, no, we were not offended by the name - we grew to love it.

The "Dump" was a successful restaurant, but Mother and Daddy meant for it to be more than a restaurant.

They meant for it to be a gathering place for young and old alike. Daddy was so proud to serve coffee for five cents. People from everywhere would stop by for a nickel cup of coffee.
