Says Daniel Wilson revision improves Raider Bob

About: Raider Bob

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I think Daniel Wilson's rendering of Raider Bob is much improved. You can tell what it is. The way it is now it should be called "Raider Blob" because that's what it looks like: a big ol' BLOB. Well wishes to all.

By Lee McClellan
News from Kentucky Fish & Wildlife

It catches the fire out of stream channel catfish.

News from the Past: Big May Wedding, 1945

It was the social event of the year: The Randolph Hood-Alfred Flowers Wedding at the Columbia Christian Church.

By "Jim"

Sixty-five years this past May, two articles dominated the front page of the News. One fell under a self-explanatory banner headline which proclaimed "Germans Surrender Unconditionally to Terms of Big Three On Monday." The other, written in Edward Hamlett's inimitable style, reported the wedding of two of Columbia's best-known and well-liked young people. From the May 9, 1945 edition:

Question: What is the history of Raider Bob

About: When swashbuckling became a Lindsey Wilson tradition

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:
I am curious about this Raider Bob character. I don't recall seeing him in homecoming parades years ago. (Maybe he was there and just didn't make an impression on me.)

I'm pretty sure he wasn't there in 72-74 when I attended LWC. It's been a few years since I have been to any LWC athletic events, and I can't remember him from that time, either.

So when did he appear/reappear?
