Easter Egg hunts begin this morning, continue in afternoon

EVENTS for ALL LISTED EASTER WEEKEND EVENTS

Several Easter Egg hunts are scheduled for this morning, starting with one at 10amCT at Barnett's Creek UMC, followed by the big 10th Annual Jaycees Easter Egg hunt at 11amCT at the Fairgrounds in Columbia, KY.

This afternoon, at 1pmCT, the kids are invited to Asbury UMC, near Coburg, KY, and at 2pmCT, the three congregations in Glens Fork, KY, will hold a joint egg hunt four miles out on Hwy 900 RD, on the Brummett farm.
Photos from Easter Egg Hunts are welcome. Use any Contact/Submit to send. For photo submissions, please include answers to 5Ws and an H.

U.S. Census 2010: All 7 area counties above national average

Count is going extremely well, though a frustrating telephone call glitch reported in Adair County - no surprise to anyone who has tried to get answers to questions on the telephone -EW

Green Co., KY, is the first of the Seven County locations to go over 70% mail in participation in the 2010 census. A check early Saturday morning at 4:38amCT showed that all Seven Counties are performing better than the national average, and six of the them are above the Kentucky average.

Lindsey Wilson Softball sweeps Rio Grande

Blue Raiders extend winning streak to 13 games

RIO GRANDE, Ohio The Lindsey Wilson College softball team escaped with a 1-0 win in game one at the University of Rio Grande (OH), then exploded in game two for an 11-0 shutout on Friday, extending its winning streak to 13 games.

The Campbellsville University Bass Team will be hosting an open tournament at Green River Lake on at 6:30pmET/5:30pmCT, Saturday April 3, 2010. This tournament will go out of Site No. 1 Boat Ramp, on Site No. 1 Boat Ramp Road, off Lake RD., in Taylor Co., KY. Entry fee is $60 with a $10 big fish option. The entry fee will be split 70/30 with the club and 100% of the big fish will be paid back. The winning team will receive a plaque and there will be door prizes given away at weigh in.
