Speaking Out on Buying American Goods About: Wants list of American made products posted Personal views Commentary by Joe Hare I agree that to compile a list of American made products would be a monumental task. I think it will be up to each of us to be more aware of the products that are American made and to purchase more of them. I recently read an article that someone wrote after considering this very quandary and after doing some comparison with one of the big box stores and their local hardware store on several items. The box store selling made in China products and the local hardware selling American made, brought forth quite surprising results. On several items they found that the American made was less expensive. Article continues... click title or click here to read whole article. 2010-02-11 07:52:07 | Comments | Printable version

Enjoyed Peggy Spoon photo: My Neighbors Cat About: Birds of Kentucky: My Neighbor's Cat To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Photo and title made me laugh. Thanks, Peggy Spoon. Because of all your coverage, I went to the Birding 101 class on Saturday AND copied the forms for others to do that don't have internet access. s/Pam Dailey Thanks. There's a triple wow for Peggy Spoon's delightful photos. I attended Birding 101 and thought the faculty, Wendy Burt and Barbara Armitage were superlative. The easiest way to report Great Backyard Bird Count checklists is still online, but printed forms for few without internet access could give a tremendous boost to Adair County's effort this year. -EW 2010-02-11 03:54:56 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
