Time will get pass, with a little patience A delightful photo sent to us by Johnnie Tarter included the comment, "I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some drier weather." To which we must say, in The Adair County Way, "Give it time, it will (happen, it will get drier)." It's a reminder of Michael Morris' alltime classic story of two bored teenagers who had leaned up against the front of the old G & M Grill, sometime in the late fifties. One said, "I wish time would pass," to which, after a long, thoughtful pause, the other answered, "Give it time, it will." 2010-02-03 21:43:54 | Comments | Printable version

Click on headline for the whole thing to date, 9:30amCT, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 We've heard from Ralph Roy Waggener, Hal Roach, Robert Stone, Doug McCammish,Mike Keltner, Stephen Caldwell, , and Billy Joe Fudge. It's a ticklish, tedious, controversial work, but somebody has to do it. Billy Joe Fudge has set down some rules and Robert Stone is suggesting others New nominations include Sandusky Steel, McCammish Mfg, the Adair Youth Development Center, Old Walmart, Westlake Regional Hospital. But nothing yet about what a domed Square would be. New work-in-progress list below By Ed Waggener Ralph Roy Waggener called to suggest that a phenomenally huge building is being left out of the list of the Top Ten Largest buildings in Adair County. The way he describes it, it may be nearly as big or even bigger than the Columbia Walmart Supercenter, though not quite as big as the Boeing plant (4,300,000 s.f., according to Wikipedia) in Everett, Washington. (The Boeing Plant is also the world's largest by volume, at 472 million cubic meters.) This and many of the other tips haven't been totally researched and we continue to invite more comments and opinions and facts.
