Sound advice to inventors of Sled to Beat All Sleds

It just may be the greatest invention since the Segway or even the Shirleyburger. Commentator Mark Hale is hopeful that, with proper promotions, the boys at PJs Cycle will get rich. -CM
About: The sled to beat all sleds

To Columbia inventors John Carter, Thomas Long,
and promoters Don Neat and Melissa Carter:

The world is waiting to see this fantastic invention in use. The ATS (all terrain sled) looks like it might just work. What I want to see is how many people, including John Carter and Thomas Long, can ride this thing at one time.

You guys find a big hill and a bunch of friends crazy enough to try it and take lots of pics and let the CM readers watch! Better yet, video it and put in on You Tube and send CM the link. You guys might get enough hits to make a little money from your efforts.s/Mark Hale

Freecycling: Old Coddger has nice load of snow for snowman

    Goooooood Morning Columbia Magazine

I had my wife cleaning the driveway with her new snow shovel and it hit me that we should try and be neighborly to anyone that might need a little more snow for a snowman or snow fort. So I had her to just go ahead and load it on my pickup, and it will be good for weight. I will be glad to deliver and unload for only a small delivery charge, the snow is free. I cannot guarantee the delivery date and time, it will probably be in a few days, when it warms up and it will unload itself as it melts. I tried to get a picture of my wife at work but she had not put on her makeup and just would not allow any pics.

    Don't miss this great deal.

    s/Old Coddger

Red Green's wife is eating her heart out, as we speak. We hope other men are as caring as you are when it comes to making the womenfolk's work easier. EW

    Late January 2010 Snow Storm:
    Openings, closings, schedule changes

The snow we woke up to today is beautiful, but it is causing some closings and some changes in schedules.

We are already receiving many reports on changes. These will be found in the news and/or events, and/or "Special Ads, News for Saturday, January 30, 2010."

As we receive word from restaurants regularly listed in What's Cooking, we are posting word on those we know are open. We'll continue to do that throughout the day. Thankfully, several are.

If your church, school, organization, or other non-profit has a change of schedule today because of the snow storm, it can be listed on ColumbiaMagazine.com. We do ask that for changes, all information be listed, as a courtesy to our readers, including what is being cancelled, when it would have been, where it would have been, and whether it is being rescheduled for a later date.

The name of the person making the announcement will be posted with the announcement. And, for our information, in case a necessary bit of information is needed, we need complete contact information.

For businesses: Opening and closings will also be carried, at no charge for advertisers with current accounts, and at a very small cost for non-advertisers.

To post, send your information using any Contact/Submit button.

ColumbiaMagaziine.com exists to serve the people of Adair County and South Central Kentucky to a great extent through the support of our advertisers. If you see one, we'd appreciate it if you let them know what their underwriting means to the community. -EW
