Wayne Armitage: Taxation without representation About: Spend a Nickel: Ralph Waggener's personal opinion on school tax To ColumbiaMagazine.com My only concern it that this is taxation without representation. I think that we should be able to vote on the tax issue. I think that the school board tried to sneak in in on us. I look at my bills and everything from the electric bill to the phone and water have a school tax on it. Our homes are taxed for schools and to add another 56.00 per 100,000 to the already high tax is wrong without a vote. We already pay more in school tax than most other counties. I am not against better schools and education. I am for better ways to spend the money we already have. Heaven only knows that our children need to be better educated. Thanks for listening. s/Wayne Armitage 2009-10-16 11:26:37 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
