Youth revival at Mt. Carmel UMC Oct. 15-17, 2009

Campbellsville University spaghetti dinner
to help Ronald McDonald House

The spaghetti dinner and live auction for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana will be Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 5pm-8pmET, in Campbellsville University's Banquet Hall, located in the basement of the Student Union Building, at 110 University Drive, Campbellsville, KY. Tickets, at $3 each pay for a spaghetti plate, salad, bread, dessert and drink. All proceeds from this event will go to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. The event is open to the public.

She was a retired after a career as a teacher in the Jefferson Co, KY school system and was the widow of William Doug Phillips.

The funeral service is a 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Gary Polston. Burial will be in the Parrott-Turner-Dabney addition to Brookside Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY. Pallbearers will be the family.The family requests expressions of sympathy to be donations to the Alzheimers Association and may be made at the funeral home.

Red Cross blood drive at Trinity UMC Family Center Oct. 20, 2009

The American Red Cross will be at Trinity United Methodist Church's Family Life Center at 2418 Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY, for a blood drive from 2pm until 6:00pmCT, on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Lindsey Wilson College Men's Soccer Beats WV Tech 4-1

MONTGOMERY, WV - The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team scored three second half goals today to beat host West Virginia University Tech 4-1.

The Blue Raiders improve to 8-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Mid-South Conference. Tech falls to 6-4-1 overall and 1-1 in the MSC.

LWC moved into a tie for the top spot in the NAIA in the new coaches' poll released Tuesday.

Lindsey Wilson senior Luis Campo, sophomore Chris Williams and freshmen Chris Ochieng and Lebogang Moloto all scored goals in the win.

The Blue Raiders return to action at 6pmCT on Friday, October 16, 2009, as Lindsey Wilson travels to William Carey (MS) College.

LWC Women's Soccer shuts out WV Tech 4-0

MONTGOMERY, WV - Only hours after being named the top team in the NAIA, the Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team proved they deserve the accolades with a 4-0 win over West Virginia University Tech.

The Blue Raiders (10-2-1) won their sixth straight overall - their last loss came on August 29, 2009 - and improve to a conference-best 3-0 in the MSC.

COLUMBIA, Ky. - For the first time since the final regular-season rankings of 2008, the Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team holds the No. 1 spot in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday by the national office.

The Blue Raiders (9-2-1, 1-0-0 MSC) received 608 points and 12 of the 22 available first-place votes.

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team jumped two spots to hold a share of the No. 1 ranking with Bethel (TN) University in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll released by the national office on Tuesday.

The Blue Raiders (7-1-1, 2-0-1 MSC) and Bethel received 569 points, while Lindsey Wilson was allotted eight first-place votes with Bethel getting nine.

LWC Volleyball dealt 3-0 loss at Union College

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. After dropping the first set 9-25, the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team fought back with a pair of 22-25, 17-25 efforts before falling to Union (Ky.) College 3-0 on Tuesday at Robsion Arena.

The Blue Raiders dropped to 6-22 with the loss, while Union improved to 19-3 on the season.
