Barger Feistwho suffers froma lack of socialization derived from neglect from the former owner. He is 1 year old. He has responded very well in the short time I have owned him. Goeble is a 2 year old Mullins Feist with a sweet disposition who minds well. He weighs about 22 lbs. I would like to place the dogs together. Tpr. Cornett investigating Raywick, KY collision

Trooper Fred Cornett, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating a collision that occurred at approximately 2:43pmCT today, Friday, September 18, 2009, on Highway 527, one mile south of Raywick, KY.

Jorretta Jones, age 59 years of age, Campbellsville, KY, was traveling northbound on Highway 527 in a 2006 Dodge. Jones vehicle dropped off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Jones was wearing a seatbelt and was treated and released at Springview Hospital, Lebanon, KY.

Obituary: Robert K. (Bob) Love, 82, Metcalfe Co., KY

Mr. Love was a member of a prominent Metcalfe Co. family with relatives in Adair Co, KY. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was fiscally prudent man, but was well-known for his warm manner. He was a successful businessman who operated Sun Valley Oil Company for many years. Mr. Love was a charter member of the Mid Kentucky Antique Car Club

Flu level raised to 'Widespread' in Kentucky

ACHS Boy's Golf Team establishes itself as regional contender

Van Giles leads ACHS with par 36 in win over Russell Co.

On Thursday afternoon, the ACHS Boy's Golf Team picked up their biggest victory of the season on Thursday afternoon, September 18, 2009, at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson, 275 Country Club RD, Columbia, KY, with a hard earned 3 shot victory over regional powerhouse Russell County.

Van Giles led the tribe with an even par round of (36). Michael Waggener (37) Charles Breeding (38) Madison Brashear (40) and Colby Robertson (42) rounded out the Indians attack. The Indians posted a team score of (151) to best Russell County's score of (154).

"This win is huge for us," Coach Steve Burton said. "Russell County is the best team that we have played all year long. I have a lot of respect for Russell County's program, they are very talented and well coached."

LWC residence life staff fundraising roadblock this weekend

COLUMBIA, KY - Members of the Lindsey Wilson College residence life program will brave the elements this weekend to stop traffic for a good cause.

The students and professional staff members of the LWC Office of Residence Life will hold a roadblock from 10am-2pmCT, Friday and Saturday, September 18 and 19, 2009, on KY 61 S. in front of Walmart. The roadblock is being held to raise money for a service trip the LWC residence life office will take next month during the colleges fall break.

For the last 10 years, LWCs residence life office has worked with Gods Love We Deliver of New York City. The non-profit group delivers meals to New York City residents with terminal illnesses who are unable to cook for themselves.

Overcorrection factor in crash on KY 61 S this morning

COLUMBIA, KY - An injury crash occurred at approximately 4:30amCT, Friday, September 18, 2009, 1 mile south of Columbia on KY 61.

Aundria Rowe, age 30, (not belted) of Columbia, KY was operating a 2002 Ford Ranger northbound on Ky 61, when she lost control in a curve overcorrected and overturned several times before coming to final rest in a field.

The operator and passengers Chris Rowe, age 33, (not belted), Sara Rowe, age 6 (belted), and Hailey Rowe age 2 (belted) all of Columbia, KY, were treated and released from Westlake Regional Hospital.

The investigation was conducted by Trooper Andy Olson.

Sir Erwin performed splendidly "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" for the preliminary competition. For the semi-finals round, Sir Erwin performed "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes". For the finals showcase, Sir Erwin performed "Crying" on Saturday evening; and "I Am What I Am" on Sunday.

The magnificent ACHS Boy's JV Golf Team ended their season with a 15 stroke victory over Russell County, Thursday afternooon, September 18, 2009.

Alex Durham led the way with a (39). Riley Grant (40) Jerrod Grider (43) Daniel Rarey (45) Trey Garmon (45) Tanner Garmon (47) and Blake Maupin (50) contributed to the Indians attack. The JV team posted a score of (167) against Russell County's (182).

"I am extremely proud of this group of young men," Coach Steve Burton said. "They continue to get better every time they tee it up. To go undefeated throughout the season is something very special for these young men. It is a testament to how hard they have worked all year long." He added, "They are a special bunch of kids Picture Brothers Trey and Tanner Garmon help lead the JV Indians to a perfect record this year.

The Adair Co. Girls Golf Team lost to Barren Co. Thursday by one stroke - match record moves to 9-8.

Adair County shot a 190 and Barren Co. finished with a 189.

Adair Co. was led by Ashley Goodin with a 40, Natalie Sneed 45, Natalie Curry 58, Dea Brandon 51, Emille Royse 54, Rachel Phipps 53.

Barren Co. was led by Taylor Moore's 42, Elliott Shipley 48, Logan Steenbergen 49, Emmory Shipley 50.
