Comment: Seems like everyone has country-club-itis

About: A ride down Harveys Ridge will never be the same again

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I agree . . . a ride down that country road will never be the same. Seems everyone has gotten what I call "country-club-itis" - everything has to be trimmed, mown, sprayed and/or clipped within an inch of its life or it's not "proper" care of the land. I miss seeing vines in the fencerows, lilies in the ditches and Queen Anne's lace swaying by the mailboxes.

A ride down Harvey's Ridge will never be the same again

About:Chance RD in chaos to Chance Freeway in six weeks

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I spent most of my childhood on Chance Road or as we called it, "Harveys Ridge." My mother took us on many walks down that road through the parts they have totally taken away.

I felt a sad feeling inside this morning when I seen what they had done to the beautiful roadway. It is like the peace and tranquility of it all is gone.
