I had to have my boxer put to sleep back in the spring and it was devastating. I really miss him. I still see him looking back at me the day I had to take him to the vet to have him put to sleep and that is so heartbreaking. I still cry over him. It's so hard to give them up. ACHS girls golf wins at Kentucky Hills ACHS is in action this afternoon at The Pines Click on headline for story plus photo by Kim Goodin, ACHS Girls Golf coach The Adair County High School girls' golf team improved their match average to 6-5 with a win over Matcalfe County High School on Monday, August 31, 2009, at Kentucky Hills CC.Metcalfe only had three linksters, but their three scores couldn't defeat Adair's top three scores. Adair was led by Ashley Goodin (40), Natalie Sneed (46), Dea Brandon (47), Emilee Royse (52), Rachel Phipps (53), and Natalie Curry (55). Metcalfe's three scores were 50, 55, 68. Adair finished with a 40 stroke advantage. KSP Post 15 officers seize gambling machines in Russell Co., KY Devices are removed from TJ's and from Wade's Discount, both on East KY 80, Russell Springs. Information will be presented to Russell Co. Grand jury RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY - The Kentucky State Police, Post 15, Columbia and officers from the Russell County Sheriff's Department executed search warrants at two Russell County businesses on Monday evening, August 31, 2009 Officers executed search warrants at "TJ's" on East KY 80, better known as the "Aluminum Center Building". At the same time, officers also executed a search warrant at Wade's Discount also located on East KY 80. Illegal video gambling machines, as well as evidence of illegal poker games were seized. Officers also seized over $7,000 of suspected gambling proceeds. This search warrant is the result of a six month undercover investigation conducted by the Kentucky State Police and the Russell County Sheriff's Department. More search warrants are expected to be served targeting illegal gambling in Russell County. The information gathered will be presented to the next session of the Russell County Grand Jury.
