The craft, complete with a trailer, sells for just over $115,000. It is the getting plenty of publicity, including a second NPR segment by David Greene.

Ann Curtis remembers some great moments in music

Hers include Yvonne Marshall singing O Holy Night at the Columbia United Methodist Church; The Jerry Lee Lewis concert she remembers as not happening because Miss Russell vetoed it; music from the Tilt-A-Whirl at the Adair County Fairgrounds, Brooks Coomer's lack of appreciation for writer and Sue Lawrence on the ACH PA system; a very poignant "Precious Lord, Lead Me On," duet, repeatedly sung as grief therapy
About: Reunion today reminds me of music which sticks in my head

Ed,

Comment: Writer says offices ought to keep appointments

After reading Teresa Kindred's column on Sunday, Commentator Mark Hale writes of issues with appointment based offices not keeping appointments; praises local Walmart store for its customer services.
Comment inspired by Teresa Kindred's: A Kindred Spirit How much does customer service matter

    By Mark Hale

CommentaryCustomer service is a big deal to me as well.

I try to use as much local business as possible simply because of the one on one service.

Although sometimes I do think some people don't care whether they get your business or not. "Someone else will be right behind me to take my place," is the attitude I perceive by some.

One of the biggest problems I see is with appointment based offices or similar businesses.

A question about Major Movie filmed in Adair County

About: One Major Movie Was Filmed In Adair County

    To ColumbiaMagazine.com:
I just found this article and was just wondering about the setting of this movie. I watched about 30 minutes of this movie on YouTube because I can't find it anywhere else and the setting doesn't seem like it was filmed in Adair County. Also, Wikipedia says in was filmed mostly in Greenfield, Iowa, and doesn't say anything about Kentucky. Was some of the movie shot in Columbia? The article made it seem like it was shot all in Adair County.

    s/Joey Bennett

It was almost entirely shot in Adair County--Adair County, Iowa.. That information is in the very brief article in the ColumbiaMagazine.com Movies edition, but I can understand how it was overlooked. Greenfield, IA, is the county seat of Adair County Iowa, one of four counties in the United States carrying the name. Another is Adair County, MO, in northeastern Missouri, whose county seat is Kirksville, and is the home of the American Osteopathic Association's medical school. The last time I checked, 23 years ago, there were about 80 physicians in the town, all but two D.O.'s. The fourth Adair County is Adair County, OK, whose county seat is Stillwell; Adair Co., OK, is the only one of the four Adair Counties not named for Gen. John Adair. -Ed Waggener
