Tommy Yacht great example of entrepreneurship!

About: Tommy Yacht from Majestic Yachts Columbia KY

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

WOW! What a great example of small business entrepreneurship in Adair County. Jim is expecting easily 10-20 jobs created by this. Majestic took the downturn and went to work with determination and ingenuity and came up with a new product that is already astounding other people in the market. Jim says this new boat serves rivers, lakes, and the ocean and skiing, fishing and relaxing. This is exciting for Columbia and Adair County as well as Majestic.

Great work!

Quenton had great day at GRL; now he needs own boat!

Mom thanks Mr. Jones, Mr. Harmon
About: Fishing day for Quenton at Green River Lake

Hello Ed,

I just wanted to thank Mr. Harmon and Mr. Jones for taking Quentin on this trip. The fish was delicious but the best part was seeing the smile on my son's face. He had a great time - even with the rain.

Only problem is he now wants to buy a boat so he can go more often.

Thanks again to Mr. Harmon and Mr. Jones for taking the time to make a young man smile!

s/Kim Slaven

You know what? Too? I'll bet ACES is the only elementary school in America with fishing coaches. If there is another, I bet ACES still has the best ones. -EW

Beautiful black dog found on Bull Run Road

Portrait of beautiful black dog

Why does this keep happening to me?

A Bull Run dog has lost his way and is desperately seeking his owners.

This young dog walked right into the house up at Tucker's Station this afternoon, Wednesday, July 22, 2009 - I think that he just wanted to get in out of the rain. He is very friendly and is not wearing a collar. If he belongs to you please call Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979.

Reader comments on why black dogs show up at Tucker's Station are welcome, but be reverent. Please, no smart-ass remarks asking if Barbara Armitage has inventoried her own herd of black dogs lately, or comments about the dog language sign, "Sucker lives here," at the entrance of Tucker's Station. Our first guess is that Max Willis, who keeps trying to enroll at Lindsey Wilson College, lost his way, thinking there is an institution of higher learning on Tucker's Station Farms Hill, but that is just a wild theory. -CM

Writer didn't mean to offend with choice on moving; meant that everyone can have opinion and choices

About: For change but not for Columbia being wet

Please excuse my error. My intention was to state that if people preferred living in a wet county they have a choice. Its a free county and we can live anyplace we like.

My ideas are just my personel beliefs and others have the same right to their theirs. So if I did offend anyone please forgive me.
